1918/7-S 25C VF25 PCGS. J.H. Cline (2007) presents some historical background to the 1918/7-S quarter, saying: "The first appearance of the overdate at public auction was the Barney Bluestone sale on December 4, 1937, as lot #741. It sold for the unheard of figure of $26.25. The coin was brilliant Uncirculated. It was thought at the time to be unique, but not so!" The VF25 specimen offered here exhibits light silver-gray surfaces with whispers of tan in some of the recesses. The underdigit 7 is evident by its thick downstroke within both loops of the 8, and the design elements in general retain considerable detail. A few inoffensive marks over each side are not inconsistent with a moderately circulated coin. An excellent addition to a mid-grade Standing Liberty quarter set.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
