1918/7-S 25C AU58 PCGS. FS-008.5. A pleasing near-Mint example of this famous mint error. Luster is essentially complete, although Liberty's leg and the highpoint of the wing exhibit light wear. The downstroke of the 7 is obvious, and is separated from the lower loop of the 8, unlike lower graded pieces which show the 7 primarily as thickness to the loops of the 8. The center of the head is slightly dished, but the strike is good overall. Struck from moderately clashed dies. The 1918/7-S competes with the 1916 for the honor of key date to the series, but the 1918/7-S is unquestionably more rare, particularly in Mint State.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
