1918/7-S 25C AU53 PCGS. Like the similar overdate Buffalo nickel, and other 20th century overdate varieties, the 1918/7-S quarter is a doubled obverse die. The overdate feature is prominently visible on this lustrous piece. Both sides have delightful champagne toning over frosty silver surfaces that exhibit virtually full luster. Faint traces of lavender and olive add to its aesthetic appeal. Slight clash marks and die polish lines are evident on the reverse. The strike is decent, with partial head details visible. The eagle has most feather details complete, although the body is somewhat weakly defined.

Coin Engraver: Hermon A.
