1918/7-D<5C> XF40 PCGS. Gunmetal-gray highpoints accompany dashes of light golden patina. A nicely detailed and refreshingly unmarked example of this coveted mint error. The upper right corner of the underdigit 7, in addition to its broad upright stroke, are obvious within the 8 in the date. Along with the 1916 Doubled Die Obverse, the 1918/7-D is the key to the Buffalo Nickel series. A faint lamination, as made, is seen near the bison's beard.
