<B>1918/7-D 5C VF30 NGC.</B></I> A bold and problem-free example of this elusive key-date issue, approaching Choice Very Fine. The surfaces are medium silver-gray, with about two-thirds of the horn showing. This unquestionably genuine example is from the earliest state of the die, so that it is missing much (not all) of the diagnostic die crack just above the Indian's braid. However, the transformation of the designer's initial F is well under way, so that it looks like a P.
