<B>1918/7-D 5C VF20 NGC.</B></I> FS-016.5. The rush to coinage at the nation's mints during the nationwide shortage near the end of World War One was apparently responsible for a number of overdates and other coin varieties--intentional and accidental--created during the era, including the 1918/7-S Standing Liberty quarter, the 1917 Doubled Die Reverse Buffalo nickel, and the present variety. The pleasing silver-gray surfaces show no mentionable distractions, and the thick downstroke of the 7 is apparent.<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James E.
