<B>1917-S:</B></I> A great (Superior) original carving of an Irishman on an AU 1917-S host coin. The piece has great eye appeal, with the subject's upturned nose, hat brim, and huge ear, all nicely fashioned. This is from another "unknown-known" artist, as several of his carvings are in collections. Note the long, upturned beard and the rare raised metal ear, both popular features.
