<B>1917-S 50C Obverse MS64 PCGS.</B></I> A scarce early Walker, and one that was highly prized in the early years of collecting--so much so that counterfeits were made of the 1917-S by placing an S on a Philadelphia coin. This coin has terrific, thick mint luster. The striking details are strong except on Liberty's skirt lines. Brilliant-gray surfaces. There are only a few tiny abrasions scattered over each side that explain the grade. Population: 95 in 64, 39 finer (8/07).<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> Adolph A.
