According to the included factory letter, this revolver was part of a 5-revolver shipment to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company of Chicago, Illinois on 24 April 1917.(scarce World War I commercial production as most of Colts production was for the U.S. Military) The grips are "Not Listed", otherwise features match. Fixed sights, with the two line address on top of the barrel and "32 W.C.F." on the left. Smokeless powder frame, with the two line, two date patent markings on the left next to the Rampant Colt, "956" assembly number and "7" and "1" in the hammer cut. Fluer-de-lis grips are quality factory reproduction with checkered walnut with diamond patterns around the screws and deep set silver Rampant Colt medallions at the tops.

Condition: Very fine, with 70% plus of the original blue finish, showing a gray patina on the grip straps, cylinder and along the high edges, along with mild handling marks and a small amount of spotting. Pitting is present, concentrated on the right side of the arm. Frame is very good, with 70% of the bright original case colors, concentrated in the protected areas, with a gray and brown patina forming on the remainder. Grips are near mint (see above), with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
