<B>1917 Morgan Bulkeley Signed Letter.</B></I> This Civil War veteran was instrumental in the formation of the National League in 1876 and served as its first president, using his powers to target drinking, fan rowdiness and illegal gambling. Many a quality Hall of Fame collection is lacking a genuine Bulkeley autograph, but one will fill that gap with this offering. Typed letter on "Aetna Life Insurance Company" (founded by his father) letterhead regards business matters relating to a "cemetery organization," and is signed at the close in 9/10 black fountain pen ink. A single pinpoint of moisture has touched one letter of the autograph, but to very little effect. Page exhibits original mailing folds and three-ring binder holes at left edge, otherwise NRMT. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.</B></I>
