<B>1917 G$1 McKinley MS66 PCGS.</B></I> The tragic assassination of William McKinley, our nation's 25th President, ultimately led to an effort to create a memorial in his hometown of Niles, Ohio. These gold dollars, and their 1916 counterparts, were created in order to raise money for that effort. This Premium Gem example is well struck, with a bold frosty sheen that radiates from both sides.
