<B>1917 G$1 McKinley MS66 PCGS.</B></I> The last two commemorative gold dollar designs aimed to fund birthplace memorials for presidents. The first one struck, the McKinley, sought to celebrate a man who was assassinated less than two decades before. On this piece, the shimmering yellow-gold surfaces of the obverse yield to shining sunset-orange on the reverse.
