<B>1917 G$1 McKinley MS65 PCGS.</B></I> A little harder to find than the 1916 issue, according to <I>The Encyclopedia of United States Silver and Gold Commemorative Coins.</B></I> This Gem example is well struck, highly lustrous, and carefully preserved, with lovely terra cotta toning over both sides. Several bits of harmless dark-green verdigris are noted on McKinley's throat. Karl Stecher, Sr. purchased this piece for $3.00 from E.K. Washburn on December 1935. This lot is accompanied by an old-time collector's envelope, marked "1917 $1.00 unc McKinley E.K.
