<B>1917-D 25C Type One MS67 Full Head NGC.</B></I> The Type One 1917-D with a Full Head is generally available in grades through MS66, but becomes much more elusive in MS67, and virtually unobtainable in MS68 and above. This is apparent from the population data, that indicates just 34 pieces certified by NGC and PCGS combined at the MS67 Full Head level, and only two rated higher (10/07). The sharp strike of the present example transcends the fully detailed head of Liberty to include sharp definition on all of the rivets, as well as on the horizontal and vertical lines of the inner shield, and the eagle's torso. Lustrous surfaces are bathed in a melange of orange, lavender, cobalt-blue, gray, and lime-green patination, and are virtually devoid of any mentionable marks. A highly attractive piece that is sure to please the Standing Liberty quarter aficionado.
