<B>1917 25C Type Two MS66 Full Head PCGS.</B></I> Modifications to the Type Two designs in 1917, according to J.H. Cline (2007), " ... created stress on the obverse die to produce the raised hair around Miss Standing Liberty's head, and caused the entire obverse to be weakly struck. This, in part, accounts for so many weak strikes." An above average strike on the current Full Head Premium Gem 1917 Type Two example results in sharp definition on Liberty's chain mail and gown lines, the rivets, and the vertical and horizontal lines of the inner shield. Pleasing luster exudes from surfaces delicately toned in barely perceptible tan and ice-blue hues. A few minute marks on Liberty's torso and legs do nothing to deny the great eye appeal of this lovely specimen.
