1916 World Series Program (Boston Red Sox). Despite massive crowds that explain the Sox' use of Braves Field for their home Series games rather than their tiny home park of Fenway, only a small handful of programs issued during this important October have survived to this day. Here we present one of the most desirable, issued for the clinching Game Five that earned young Babe Ruth his World Championship. The interior score sheets are completed in neat pencil, recording the four to one victory over the Brooklyn Robins, and a notation on the cover reads simply "October Twelfth." A single vertical center crease is the result of the program having been folded lengthwise in half, but this does not significantly effect the display value. Otherwise the publication remains in strong condition, sold and complete with some light, inconsequential toning on the cover. A fine specimen.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
