1916-S 50C MS64 PCGS. Deep smoke-gray and russet tonin
1916-S<50C> MS64 PCGS. Deep smoke-gray and russet toning covers the rims, while the centers are gray-gold on this near-Gem example. The skirt lines are weak, but the thumb, head, and eagle's legs show a pleasing amount of detail. The Obverse Mintmark 1916 and 1917 issues are really a subtype within the series, although they are also collected as part of a complete set. Elusive in Gem condition: PCGS has graded 87 pieces finer (9/06).
