1916-S $5 MS64 PCGS. In 1916, the San Francisco Mint produced half eagles, eagles, and double eagles, and these three issues were the only regular issue gold coins produced in the U.S. from 1916 through 1919. This near-Gem quality example is an attractive piece with brilliant and frosty yellow-gold luster accented by hints of light pink toning. It is sharply struck and the surfaces are relatively free of abrasions.
