1916-S<10C> MS67 Full Bands PCGS. Liberty's cheek, forehead, wings, and upper cap sport a halo of mottled russet, aqua, and deep-gray toning, with a lightly toned golden-gray reverse. Perusal with a loupe reveals a couple of ticks beneath Liberty's chin and on the neck, but the prime focal areas are problem-free. This date is often found weakly struck through the centers, and even on this Superb Gem coin the lower diagonal band is not fully struck up. The mintmark is placed high in relation to later issues, as often seen on this date. One of the few graded so fine. Population: 8 in 67, 0 finer (11/05).
From The Larry Shapiro #1 All-Time Finest Mercury Dimes Full Bands Basic PCGS Registry Set.
