<B>1916 G$1 McKinley MS66 PCGS.</B></I> President McKinley lingered for eight days after he was shot, before succumbing on Sept. 14, 1901. His assassin, Leon Czolgosz, was electrocuted on Oct. 19 of that same year. Ironically, although both the newly developed X-ray machine and electric lighting were on exhibit at the Pan-American Exposition, neither was available in the operating room where surgeons could have removed a second bullet lodged in his back muscles. This satiny Premium Gem offers exceptional luster and a full quota of aesthetic appeal. Examples at this grade level are reasonably plentiful, but seldom found any finer.
