1916-D 10C AU55 PCGS. Key issue in the Mercury dime se 1916-D[10C] AU55 PCGS.
1916-D<10C> AU55 PCGS. Key issue in the Mercury dime series with only 264,000 pieces struck, the '16-D is highly collectible and sought-out in all grades from AG though the higher levels of Mint State. Twentieth century key-date coins have been among the most popular and in demand items in numismatics over the past couple years. For the collector seeking a pleasing near Mint State example of the '16-D, this specimen will be a worthy candidate. Its surfaces are soft silver-gray with subtle sky-blue and violet accents, and retain considerable luster. All of the design elements are sharply defined. The middle bands are virtually split, but not quite fully rounded. The surfaces are remarkably clean, revealing just a few wispy slide marks on Mercury's cheek and neck. These are not detracting, and are mentioned solely for accuracy. All in all, an excellent lightly circulated '16-D that is surely to generate spirited bidding competition.
