Razor-sharp striking details emerge on both sides, confirming the proof status of this lovely Superb Gem. From a low mintage of just 600 pieces, and the rarest of the "early" (1913-1916) proof Buffalo nickels (not counting the unconfirmed 1917 proofs authenticated as such by Walter Breen).
