1916 25C MS64 NGC. Only 52,000 pieces were struck of the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter, the entire mintage being produced between December 16 and 31 of this year. This small mintage and limited availability made this issue an instant rarity among 20th century silver coins. At the Mint State level, the 1916 is a very desirable coin with probably fewer than 125 pieces known in MS64 and better condition. This is a very sharply struck example that is highly lustrous. Both sides are attractively toned, but are very different from one another. The obverse has bright, almost electric-green and rose coloration with a dab of original brilliance still in evidence, while the reverse has a fairly even light golden patina. Population: 59 in 64, 28 finer (2/03). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
