<B>1916<25C> MS64 Full Head PCGS.</B></I> Over the past several years, considerable marketplace emphasis has been placed squarely on key-date issues in various series, especially those of the 20th century. Such pieces as the 1911-D quarter eagle have made substantial gains in popularity and desirability. This 1916 Standing Liberty quarter is another issue that has seen similar heightened demand in recent times. Only 52,000 of these pieces were coined at the end of the year, following a full complement of similarly dated Barber quarters. This example has frosty mint luster with a trace of gold toning on the reverse. A few tiny marks on each side keep it out of the Gem grading category.
