<B>1916 25C Fine 12 NGC.</B></I> The bottom half of each date digit is clear, as typical for the initial design subtype, that left the date prone to early wear. Even on moderately worn pieces such as the present piece, an easy way to tell even dateless 1916 quarters is this diagnostic: The top "dash" in the beaded border, between two "dots" on either side, is cut in half to make room for Liberty's head.
