1916 25C AU58 Full Head PCGS. Light caramel-gold enriches this satiny Borderline Uncirculated key date quarter. Highpoint friction is difficult to detect, even with the aid of a loupe, but the obverse luster is somewhat subdued. The reverse possesses full luster. Even the novice Standing Liberty quarter collector knows that only 52,000 pieces were struck, and survivors are coveted in all grades. The 1916 was struck in the closing months of the year, and went unreleased until 1917. Like all first-year designs, a number of Standing Liberty quarters were set aside by curious non-collectors, but since the high mintage 1917 was released on the heels of the 1916, most such souvenirs were dated 1917 instead of 1916.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
