1916 10C MS67 PCGS. A few years back, NGC introduced their Star designation for unusual eye appeal for the grade. PCGS does not have a similar designation, but if they did, we think that this coin would qualify. The assigned Superb grade speaks for itself, of course, yet what is most striking about this dime is the contrast between its bright white luster in the centers and the vivid bands of toning around the lower peripheries. Cobalt blue predominates, yet gold, maroon, russet, and even sea-green all make an appearance. The connoisseur of attractive toned coinage will be interested in this piece; yet registry collectors looking for the finest available technical quality should also take note, as this coin has not been surpassed at either of the major services. And, although a handful of coins equal this one in grade, we cannot imagine any of them equaling it in appeal. Population: 4 in 67, 0 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
