1915-S<$10> MS62 NGC. In 1915, the San Francisco Mint became the last mint to strike United States gold coins in six different denominations. The denomination with the third-highest mintage was the eagle, at a mere 59,000 pieces. The present example is well struck with yellow-orange surfaces that have pleasing luster and hints of pale pink and sea-green in the fields. Scattered marks and minor abrasions do not significantly detract from the eye appeal.
From The Clifton Rodenburg Collection.
