Lot of five publications from the early 1900’s relating to the Panama Canal. 4 of the 5 are hardcover. The items are as follows: The Story of the Panama Canal –By Logan Marshall Includes Official Illustrations 286 p. Book is in Ok condition, hardcover with map of the Panama Canal on front cover. Spine and cover are coming detached from the text block; all pages remain in good condition. 2) The story of the Panama Canal by Logan Marshall 258 pages, Red hardcover with loose spine over the text block, and thinning materials on the cover. Inside there are glossy printed images of corresponding subject matter. 3) The Official Handbook of the Panama Canal Washington National Print Office 58 pages, this copy is in jeopardized condition. The cover is deteriorating; it has several holes and has water damage and stained portions. Brittle. 4) The Panama Canal by Frederick J. Haskin, 384 page hardcover copy. Slight bends in the edged of the cover, otherwise in good condition included is a fold-out color illustration in the front cover in very good condition. The book was originally a gift to Ralph Brown from Lawrence Brown. 5) America’s Triumph at Panama by Ralph E. Avery, 384 page hardcover with blue and black imprinted image of a woman holding a globe between two travelling steamships; the remainder of the cover is brown. The cover is loosening by the text block, also some small discolorations on the front cover. Otherwise it is in good condition.
