1915 Federal League Season Pass
1915 Federal League Season Pass. A failed experiment that arose as a direct challenge to the perceived monopoly enjoyed by the American and National Leagues, the Federal League was able to woo several of the game's top stars into its camp with the promise of higher salaries before folding after just two seasons of existence. Federal League memorabilia remains one of the most challenging collecting subcultures, and here we present a piece certain to draw rapt attention from that brave and dedicated band of hobbyists. This scalloped edged pass afforded “C.J. Williams,” whose name is engraved on verso, admittance to all Federal League ballparks during the sophomore and final season. The simple enameled face presents baseball imagery with “Federal League, J.A. Gilmore, Pres.” spelled along the ball's perimeter. Verso offers “386” serial number and “Circuit Pass 1915” lettering. Original key chain clip at top is still present. Mild surface wear is noted for accuracy's sake, but our catalog imagery should properly indicate that the pass offers no lack of visual appeal. Originally purchased from the great-granddaughter of C.J. Williams, who served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Chicago Cubs for many years.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
