<B>1915-D 5C MS66 PCGS.</B></I> David Lange (2005) writes that the 1915-D nickel "... is the first date from the Denver Mint in which weakness of strike becomes a factor." The Premium Gem in this lot certainly is better defined than most, revealing as it does relatively sharp detail on the bison's head and tail, areas where the weak strike becomes evident. A thin veneer of champagne-gold rests upon lustrous surfaces that are devoid of significant marks.
