<B>1915 Boston Red Sox World Champions Leather.</B></I> The finest example we've ever seen of this tremendously scarce and desirable artifact created to honor the World Championship Boston Red Sox of 1915. A photographic image of the victorious Sox team commands the center of the design, presumably posed on the infield of the young Fenway ballpark. Four exterior photographic vignettes at the corners are identified in handwritten vintage block lettering as the team's most noteworthy names: Carrigan, Lewis, Speaker and Hooper. Very minor wrinkling to the surface of the leather, quite possibly dating to the creation of the piece itself, is all that we can locate in our attempts to find any flaws to note. Clearly one of the finest manufactured baseball collectibles of the Dead Ball Era ever made available for public sale, this 22x24" beauty will draw gasps from even the most jaded of early baseball afficionados. Exquisitely matted and framed to dimensions of 34x37".
