1915 $20 MS65 PCGS. The 1915 Philadelphia double eagle, with a mintage of 152,000 business strikes, is moderately scarce in all grades. As can be seen from the certified population, It becomes rare in MS65, and virtually unobtainable in higher levels of preservation. Approximately 60 pieces have been given the MS65 grade designation by PCGS and NGC combined, and none have been seen finer! As is generally the case with the 1915, the design features on the Gem in this lot are boldly executed; the fingers on both hands are completely separated, as are the toes, the panes on the Capitol building, and the feathers on the eagle's torso. Vibrant luster radiates from rich apricot-gold surfaces that reveal fewer marks than one might expect for a large, heavy gold coin assigned an MS65 designation. Population: 25 in 65, 0 finer (10/06).
From The Kutasi Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
