<B>1915 $2 1/2 PR66 NGC.</B></I> A course grained light matte finish characterizes this lovely Premium Gem proof. Both sides have brilliant lemon-yellow color, much lighter than the other 1915 proof quarter eagle offered in this sale. This issue represents the final regular issue gold proof of any denomination coined for collectors, although a few later gold commemoratives were produced in proof format. The production was limited to 100 pieces and the survival rate seems to be quite low with only about 30 to 40 examples remaining today.
