1915 $10 MS66 PCGS. The 1915 is among the more available issues in the ten dollar Indian series in Uncirculated grades. Among P-mint dates, it is much scarcer than the 1932 and 1926, and it is also scarcer than the 1907 No Periods, 1908 With Motto, and 1911. When considered as a type coin, the 1915 presents the collector with new challenges. Because it has granular surfaces, as do all tens struck from 1908 through 1916, eye appeal can be a problem because of the dispersive effect of the matte-like finish. However, this piece is notable for its bright mint frost that overpowers the pronounced granularity seen over both obverse and reverse. Sharply struck in most areas, the only trace of softness is on the fore part of the eagle's wing. The coin has distinctive color with an interplay of orange-gold, yellow-gold, and lilac over each side. Despite its common status in lower grades, the 1915 is seldom offered in MS66 condition with only 22 other pieces graded as such by both PCGS and NGC combined, and five finer (11/06).
From The Kutasi Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
