1914-S $20 MS66 PCGS. Luscious golden color graces richly textured surfaces that are unabraded by the many contact marks or imperfections that are generally seen on larger coins like this. The strike is unusually bold and the fields glow with the confidence of a winner. While at almost 1.5 million pieces, the mintage of this issue was by no means small, high-end survivors are rare and neither PCGS nor NGC have graded a finer example than this one. Certainly worth a close examination and a strong bid by a connoisseur with an eye for quality and a taste for rarity.
From The Jacob Collection of Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles.

Coin Engraver: Augustus Saint-Gaudens

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
