1914-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. Although produced in greater numbers than the 1914-D, the 1914-S (4.1 million coins delivered) is a more difficult coin to locate at the MS65 Red grade level. The latter issue was not well produced, with indifferent planchets often leading to corrosion and discoloration. What's more, many of the coins that do retain full luster also display bothersome unevenness of strike. That said, we direct bidder attention to the present PCGS-certified Gem. The luster is full with the often-seen orange coloration. Both sides are sharply detailed in virtually all areas, and there is not a single blemish that would call into question the validity of the MS65 designation. Pedigree concerns alone compel us to mention two trivial flecks that are well concealed in the wheat ears. Population: 29 in 65, there are just two finer (7/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
