1914-D $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. Only three Indian quarter eag 1914-D
1914-D<$2 1/2> MS64 PCGS. Only three Indian quarter eagles were struck at the Denver Mint; coins were produced in 1911, 1914, and 1925. While the 1911-D is a noted rarity in the series, this 1914-D issue is surprisingly hard to find in better grades, and the 1925-D is considered a common date. David Akers labeled this date the third rarest of the series, despite six issues with lower mintages. The surfaces of this near-Gem are fully lustrous and frosty with brilliant orange-gold color. PCGS has certified just 35 finer examples of this date (6/06).
