<B>1914-D $2 1/2 MS64 NGC.</B></I> European hoards are a well-established source for many United States gold issues, but coins of some years found their way overseas in lesser numbers. In particular, World War I and its aftermath inhibited the transfer of such pieces, which makes them less available today than comparable issues of earlier or later years. This bright piece is canary-gold with lemon-yellow on the obverse and a splash of orange on the reverse.
