<B>1914 B18 Blankets Shoeless Joe Jackson Purple Pennants.</B></I> Five years before a bad decision would ultimately result in his banishment from organized baseball and forever alter the course of Major League history, Jackson appeared as one of the most collectible figures in the B18 set. Nicknamed "blankets" because they were often sewn into quilts, these 5.25" square felt artifacts are particularly condition-sensitive and few are found in the fine shape as the one we present here. Some wear along the left edge will be evident in our catalog photography, and very minor toning does little to detract. Any period piece relating to the career of this tremendously significant Dead Ball star must be held in high collecting regard, and we expect great interest among our bidding clientele.
