<B>1914 5C MS67 NGC.</B></I> In his most recent book on the Buffalo nickel series <I>(The Complete Guide to Buffalo Nickels)</B></I> David Lange states that the '14-P is "slightly scarce but available in all grades Good through mint state. Choice and gem pieces can be had for a price." That may be true, but Superb examples such as this are very seldom encountered. The surfaces are virtually flawless, and the devices are almost fully struck up in all areas. Exceptional mint luster is seen on both obverse and reverse with an overlay of rich, multicolored patina. A wonderful early type piece or the ultimate representative of this early issue.
