1914 50C MS65 PCGS. The middle sibling of a trio of low-mintage P-mint issues from late in the series, the 1914 boasts an emission of only 124,300 coins--lowest of the three. This is a silvery Gem lacking any hint of color on either side. A couple of contact marks on the cheek and in the right obverse field limit an even higher grade, but the eye appeal is considerable for this popular and elusive issue. Population: 8 in 65, 2 finer (1/08).

Coin Engraver: Charles E.
