1914<50C> MS64 PCGS. The middle member of the trio of late P-mint rarities, created when the Philadelphia Mint turned its attention to creating significant numbers of mostly smaller denominations, including the nascent Buffalo nickel and the waning Barber quarter and dime. Only 124,230 1914-P half dollars were struck. This example shows light silver-gold surfaces with scant contact evidence and excellent eye appeal. The strike is a bit soft on a couple of the obverse stars, and on the reverse at the right (facing) shield point and the right claw. Population: 41 in 64, 8 finer (9/06).
