An exceptional 1914 $5 Federal Reserve Note issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. The obverse showcases an intricate engraved portrait of Abraham Lincoln framed by ornate borders and flanked by decorative denomination numerals, while the serial number C78309043A appears twice in vivid blue ink. Below the vignette are the signatures of Frank White, Treasurer of the United States, and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury John Burke. The reverse is a dramatic tableau engraved in green, depicting two historic vignettes; Columbus Landing in the New World and The Pilgrims; symbolizing the origins of American settlement.
