1913-S 5C Type Two MS66 NGC. The 1913-S Type Two is a
<B>1913-S<5C> Type Two MS66 NGC.</B></I> The 1913-S Type Two is a key to the completion of a circulated set. Collectors of the day set aside 1913-S nickels, but these were usually the Mound or Type One variety. The Type Two had a low emission of 1,209,000 pieces, and by the time these were distributed, the Buffalo nickel was no longer a novelty, and relatively few examples were set aside. This lustrous chestnut-gray Premium Gem is beautifully preserved. The strike is pleasing despite slight softness on the bison's tail and hair and above the Indian's braid. Census: 18 in 66, 3 finer (9/06).
