<B>1913-S $5 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> Perhaps because gold coins continued to circulate to a limited extent on the West Coast in the initial decades of the 20th century, San Francisco Mint Indian half eagles and eagles are much scarcer in Mint State than their mintages suggest. The 1913-S is no exception, and is far more difficult in Mint State than the 1913. A moderately abraded yellow-gold example with problem-free surfaces.
