1913-S 25C MS66 PCGS.
1913-S 25C MS66 PCGS. A shimmering, high-end example of this prized 20th century rarity. With an original delivery of a mere 40,000 coins, it is no surprise that the 1913-S Barber Quarter has the lowest mintage of all non-gold, regular issue U.S. coins from the 20th century. The '13-S is one of the three toughest issues in this series, along with the 1896-S and 1901-S. Although not as rare as the '01-S in high grades, the '13-S is still a challenging date to locate as a Gem or better, with only 24 coins graded by PCGS above the MS64 level (11/03). This coin is untoned except for scattered, small apricot toning spots over the obverse. The luster is full, with a bright satiny sheen, and the only mentionable distraction is a dark spot in the reverse field below the eagle's left (facing) wing. Population: 7 in 66, 4 finer (10/03). Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
