1913-S 25C MS65 PCGS. A shimmering, high-end example o 1913-S[25C] MS65 PCGS.
1913-S<25C> MS65 PCGS. A shimmering, high-end example of this prized 20th century rarity. With an original striking of only 40,000 coins, it is no surprise that the 1913-S Barber quarter has the lowest mintage of all non-gold, regular issue U.S. coins from the 20th century. The '13-S is one of the three most difficult issues in this series, along with the 1896-S and 1901-S. Although not as rare as the '01-S in high grades, the '13-S is still a challenging date to locate as a Gem or better, with only 15 coins so graded by PCGS with 13 pieces above the MS65 level (3/06). This coin is untoned except for scattered, small apricot toning spots near the obverse border. The luster is full, with a bright satiny sheen, and the only mentionable distraction is some minor weakness on the eagle's right (facing) talon.
