1913-S $20 MS64 PCGS. With a negligible total of 20 coins graded higher at PCGS (6/07), some of which are likely resubmissions, collectors find themselves vying for near-Gem examples of this low mintage double eagle. The fact that the Smithsonian Institution's specimen is considered only an MS63 supports the aforementioned claim. This is a highly attractive, lustrous MS64. Most of each side is deep cherry-red in color with a pronounced accent of lilac over the figure of Liberty.
