<B>1913-S<$20> MS62 ANACS.</B></I> A lustrous piece with clean surfaces and a slightly soft strike on the Capitol building. This issue is often hoarded due to its unusually low mintage of 34,000 pieces. No 1912-S twenties were struck. Presumably, the California hard money tradition had faded by 1913, with double eagles replaced in West Coast circulation by Federal paper money.
